In collaboration with Teaching Matters' professional developers, New York City teachers from ten elementary schools brought technology-based strategies to their balanced literacy programs in 2003 – 2004.  Many of the practices listed here represent first-time pioneering efforts that will continue to develop in the year to come. We are happy to share examples of these promising ideas and hope they are helpful to other teachers seeking ways to integrate technology with instruction. Watch for an expanded set of promising practices in 2004 – 2005.
